uh, not significantly.  like way, way ago.  but part of it is actually the change in attire, to be honest.  i remember... my brother and i sitting around watching in like... 2002 and on at the latest and every time Jericho came out and did the 'belt around my waist' taunt we MST2Ked it with "look at my lovehandles!!!1!!1!!!!" because he had like spare tire shit bulging over the top of his trunks.

i honestly don't care what my wrestlers look like anymore, though.  i enjoy eddie kingston, ffs.  i have far, far more respect for chris jericho now than i did back then, because i have a better eye for talent than i did back then, and the guy's really got a mind for this business.  but i really would prefer all wrestlers be restricted to full tights or traditional mid-thigh singlets.  the little shorty-shorts are fucking nauseating, i don't care who they're on, i don't want to see slices of this fucker's ass when he goes down for a pin.  i don't want to see man-hip-dent-things when they pick somebody up over their head.  pet peeve for YEARS now.

Love handles aren't such a problem really, especially when the guy still had abs, you know? Full on fucking pie-mucher guts are just disgusting. In general, I agree that "trunks" or whatever they call them should be a thing of the past for a majority of wrestlers. Only a few don't look like complete twats when wearing them. LOL
