UNDERCARD

Open Weight Fight
Terri Zwart vs Sterling "Ace" Cash

Zwart lands an inside leg kick to kick off the fight. Zwart lands a nice overhand right that draws ooohs from the crowd. The fighters again trade jabs in the center of the crudely painted circle on the hard concrete floor, and Zwart no longer seems worried about a takedown. However, Cash catches a kick and sweeps Zwart's other leg out from under her. Zwart rolls free but Cash connects with a knee to the face that snaps Zwart's head back. Cash quickly secures a mount, and rains down shots. Zwart pulls him close to avoid damage, but Cash postures up again and then grabs an arm looking for the armbar. He rolls Zwart over and tries to torque the hold, but Zwart hangs strong. Cash manages to work through the resistance and locks in his legs, forcing the tapout.

Cash defeats Zwart via submission at 4:10.

Lightweight Division Fight
Ryann Hardy vs Isabella Pazzini

Hardy knocks Pazzini down with a big right hand and tries to rain down some ground and pound. Pazzini is cut open above her left eye as she crashes face first into the unforgiving concrete floor. Pazzini escapes to her feet before absorbing much punishment, and the two go at it standing again. Pazzini starts to rally back, firing in a fast kick that drops Hardy to the canvas. Hardy is quick to escape the mount attempt and gets back to standing. Hardy lands numerous punishing leg kicks, targeting Pazzini's left leg. The leg kicks add up and limit Pazzini's mobility. Pazzini lands a front kick to the body which knocks Hardy off balance but she doesn't go down. The two fighters continue to exchange, before Hardy drives the staggering Pazzini back towards the edge of the circle, only to finish her off with a superkick to the face that shatters Pazzini's nose.

Hardy defeats Pazzini via knockout at 7:12.

Open Weight Fight
Sinn vs Mark Chapman

Despite her usual eagerness to start off fights with a bang, Sinn holds back, spending the first few moments gauging Chapman's defenses and dancing around his punches.  He keeps the stripper on her toes, looking in for an early takedown and succeeds after he backs her to the edge of the circle, grabbing her hair and pulling her off balance.  Sinn goes down hard on her stomach and Mark is immediately on her, throwing hammerfists into the back of her head.  Unfortunately, she takes a harsh blow to the face as she turns her head, opening a harsh cut across her cheek.  She pushes her knees under her and throws back an elbow, catching Mark hard in the ribs.  Using the momentum, she takes advantage and pushes Mark backwards.

McIntyre resists and Sanders  lands an inside leg kick which catches McIntye in the knee, staggering the champion. The fight pauses for just a few seconds. Heavyweight Title Tournament Fight: Cage Fight
V vs Gabriel Chance

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, the two men in The Caged Circle tonight will fight until only one remains standing for the right to advance to the finals of the Heavyweight Title Tournament!!!!! All bets for this fight are now final. Introducing first... he is mixed martial artist, with a record of six wins, and two losses, standing at 188 centimeters and weighing in at 93 kilograms. Ladies and gentlemen... GABRIEL CHANCE!!

Chance steps into the circle with a blank look on his face.

Announcer: And now... fighting out of the red corner... he is a striker, with a record of three wins, and one loss, standing at 190 centimeters and weighing in at 110 kilograms. Ladies and gentlemen... VEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Both V and Chance are standing in their corners, Gabriel looking like human steel, and V staring back with a shrewd look in his eyes as he adjusts his wrist tape with his thumbs.  The crowd is cheering very loudly, except for one group at a table sitting above the cage on the second balcony.  Entouraged by several men in black suits one sits back, and simply nods at the referee who bows slightly to the group of importance before starting the fight.  Neither man wastes much time, as they begin circling the cage, each moving closer.  Chance with a few quick head jabs that V blocks with a raised arm, before throwing a couple of his own.  Gabriel blocks those as well, and the two continue to circle each other.  A fast spinning kick to the ribs catches V off guard, and Chance pounces him quickly, grabbing V by the legs, hoisting him up, taking about three steps before dropping him to the floor of the cage creating a roar from those in attendance.  V ends up not quite on his back, due to the side of the cage.  Pinned to floor and caged wall, he begins to fend off an assault to the head and shoulders by Chance as the aggressor also tries to get his legs around his opponent's waist.  V looks stunned early as he tries to recover, his arms drop and he catches a couple of shots, but he wraps his arms around Gabriel around the waist and rolls, causing an outburst of whoo-whaa from the Kyoto underworld. Chance is rolled, and V makes a wild swing as he rolls for position.  It catches Chance above the right eye, and the swelling is almost immediate.  Chance rolls backwards, and gets up to his feet, letting "The Nameless" get to his as well.

Chance seems to be favoring his right eye, and V takes advantage, shooting in for a takedown.  Gabriel manages to clinch him, grabbing V by the head, twisting and using the weight difference of V's body to carry himself down to the mat allowing Chance to again, attempt a mount.  V tries to grapple Chance's right arm, and Gabriel begins hammering down some serious lefts, causing V to roll, and Gabriel Chance locks in a choke from behind, and his legs are solidly locked around V's midsection.

Surprisingly, V gets to his hands and knees, and staggers to his feet with Chance still on his back, and stumbles backwards, into the cage, the back of his head connecting with Gabriel's cheek.  Chance lets go, of the lock, but manages to remain on his feet, and that eye that was swollen is now disfigured top AND bottom.  Chance wipes at that eye, pulling away crimson at the split, and doesn't wait to get hit again, arms raised to the front, he continues to step forward carefully, one half-step at a time.  They begin trading punches, causing another round of cheering from the cage-side mob.  Both men trade a series of blows, with V catching a few good blows to the chin and temple, and Chance creating small fogs of red mist as V connects with his own.

The aftermath of the barrage brings another tie-up by Chance, once, twice, but both times V escapes the locking grasp, landing a few leg kicks to the meat of the thigh.  V playing a little smart at this point, keeping Chance at a slight distance every time he tries to close in.

Another grab by Chance but V manages a straight kick to the gut, and as Chance winces and doubles over, V plants a knee to the face, knocking Gabriel backwards and to his back.  Before he can get up, V is on him.  The Nameless begins landing multiple elbows to that bruised eye of Chance, opening that split under his eye even more, and the blood begins to puddle on the mat beneath Chance's head as he tries to roll.  However, there's not much he can muster, nowhere to roll, no competent way to defend.  V manages to land several quick elbows before slowing down and planting a couple more with a sledgehammer's grace.  Gabriel Chance is blind in the crimson and completely unable to defend himself, giving the referee the ability to stop the fight.

As V celebrates victory in the cage, the men from the balcony above, stern steel looks upon the leaders face, and they leave quietly as the rest of the crowd cheers him in Japanese.

V defeats Chance via technical knockout at 15:32 to move on to the final round of the Heavyweight Title Tournament.
