MAIN EVENT: Heavyweight Fight:
Jackson vs Osbourne Kilminster
Both men come into the match looking to continue their accession in the heavyweight division and exact a pound of flesh from each other for a rivalry that began during their tournament semi-final match at Unleashed 1.
As the referee calls for the start of the match, Jackson takes a final drag off his cigarette, and makes a motion like he's flicking it away, palming it instead. The two men connect in the middle of the circle, locking up and immediately breaking apart as Kilminster tries to overpower Jax, but Jackson shoves Kilminster away, rearing back with his left hand, and smashing the still burning cigarette against Kilminster's forehead. Kilminster doesn't go down, although his head snaps back, but as he puts his arms up to deflect the next blow, Jackson fakes a right hook, and slams his own knee into the side of Kilminster's, knocking him back.
The two circle each other for a moment before Kilminster rushes Jackson, pushing him back almost to the edge of the circle with a combination of lightning fast kicks and knee strikes. Jackson responds with a vicious kick into Kilminster's midsection and then applies a belly to back release suplex, which sends Kilminster down hard, sucking air. Not wasting a moment's time, Jackson stomps away at Kilminster's knees, looking to level the playing field. Kilminster lurches to his feet, seeming to be remarkably unfazed as he glares at Jackson.
Kilminster starts the fight out at a fast pace, quickly closing the distance on Jackson and letting his hands fly. Jackson tries to fight back with blows of his own, but it soon becomes clear that the exchanges are favoring his opponent as Kilminster targets the still healing eye socket and left cheek of Jackson. As Kilminster presses the action with further punches, Jackson begins to shoot in for takedowns. Kilminster rallies back with several dodges and deflections, managing to force Jackson back, making him work. A wicked side kick connects with Jackson's knee, staggering the big man, but he still manages to power past Kilminster's takedown defense and wrestles him to the mat. From there, Jackson took little time in mounting Kilminster and began to rain down bombs, targeting the left eye of his opponent. Much to his chagrin, Kilminster absorbs the punches with seemingly no ill effects, and because Jackson has made himself off-balance by throwing such big shots, Kilminster is able to roll him off with ease.
A frustrated Jackson backs off, and caught off guard, almost loses his balance to a sweep kick from Kilminster. Ozzy rushes at him with his usual ferocity and own takedown attempt. His is successful, but Jackson immediately steals back the moment by head butting Kilminster in the nose, shattering the bone. Blood rains down as Kilminster rolls Jackson over, connecting with several thrusts and strikes to the face. Inside The Dark Horse's guard, it looks like Kilminster can shift the tide of the match despite the injury, until Jackson pulls off the unthinkable, blocking Kilminster's reversal and submission attempts and hammering him with ground and pound consistently.
Kilminster retaliates by hammering back at Jackson's face, connecting a few times with the damaged cheek but Jackson seems to suck up the blows, reaching down and locking his hands around Kilminster's neck for a lethal choke. The combination of being met with failure in his takedown attempts and being struck seems to anger Kilminster, and he bucks and twists, rolling to the side and kneeing Jackson in the head. The chokehold is broken, and Kilminster staggers to his feet, running at Jackson as soon as he gets up, looking for a double knee combo to the midsection of Jackson, and looking to drive him over the edge of the circle. Unfortunately for Kilminster, Jackson sees the move coming, and blocks it with ease, responding to the attack with a European uppercut that rocks Kilminster back. Kilminster refuses to go down. When Jackson charges in to try and finish him off, Kilminster counters with a hard punching combo that momentarily stalls out Jackson's attack. Still, Kilminster is not quite at full capacity, perhaps explaining his attempt to lock his arms around Jackson's waist, and power him down. Jackson blocks, driving a wild elbow into Kilminster's bleeding face.
Kilminster gets to his feet slowly and just as he does, Jackson gives him a big boot to the face, sending him back to the canvas, busting open another gash above his eye. Kilminster gets back to his feet and desperately tries to parry Jackson's combination of palm strikes and left hooks. He manages to deflect to blows, getting off another kick to Jackson's knees that sends him staggering back, dangerous close to toppling over the edge of the circle. Immediately, Jackson dives forward, catching hold of Kilminster's shoulders, and football tackles him to the canvas, ending up with Kilminster trapping Jackson in an armbar. Kilminster holds the armbar, working on Jackson's arm before Jackson sweeps in with a quick movement, grabbing Kilminster's waist and bodily hurling him away. Kilminster teeters on the edge, barely scrabbling to his feet before turning around, and right into Jackson's forearm smash that connects across his face, snaps his head back, and sends him tumbling the three feet to the arena floor.
Jackson defeats Osbourne Kilminster at 25:33 via ringout.
