if anyone has run into the law, or anyone works for law enforcement or anything relevant... just wondering, is there any reason to get an attorney if i was caught for possession? like, legitimately caught?
i
My cousin got a good attorney when he got nabbed for possession and walked away with a $200 fine and no jail time. You can look into it and give it a shot
If it's a small enough amount that it could conceivably only be for personal use, then you'll get off pretty lightly. If you happen to have bought enough to last you a month, they might suspect something else and you'll be right in the shit.

Took a few Criminal Justice classes and asked my brother... He says it depends on how much you were caught with. But Ozzy's right.
it was just a gram of coke, no intent to sell... and not nearly enough for them to actually believe that it was intended for selling purposes. alright, im going to look into this.
also, whta if someone already has a record? not a HORRIBLE record, but one in general? does that make my effort not worth the time?
Coke? You'll get penalized harder for than than you would if you had weed. Good lord boy. I can solve your problems with one simple move.
Stop doing drugs.
Solves your problem.
Also, get a good lawyer.
Oh and if all that fails remember when you're in those prison showers that soap is slippery. It's hard to hold on to.

also, dont wash. if you smell awful no one will come near you. in theory, anyway.
depends on which state/country yer in. I'm assuming, USA, so in a ll honesty.... yer fucked if it's cocaine. so i 'd say yeah.... get a lawyer and FAST.
Answers can be fairly generic without an informed basis to go on...
Scenario a: You could have been driving down the road, too fast, swerving, while getting "Road-Head" ( God bless you, ladies), and when the cop stopped tou were trying to get her to hold on to it, and she shoved it back @ you spilling the bag and covering it all over your face...
Also depends where and what times...
So on an so on...
Myself? I got 2 words for ya: Plea Bargain!!
one, been to prison on plenty of occasions. least of my worries.

See you should have been carrying anime. It's more addictive than crack and won't get you anally raped.

it didn't keep me off drugs but i do watch/read/cosplay--and as a matter of fact i'm cosplaying as a teenage boy in June hehe o.O
anime-nerds? sobriety? not in my experience.
for that matter, the only anime i've ever watched that didn't make me want to partake in pharmaceuticals just to get me through the experience was trigun-- granted it's a short list. how can one stand the voices they put on those things without something to dull the pain?!

there's very few anime with good english dubs--hence why i watch the japanese with subs Trigun is definitely one of the good english subbed animes.

Full Metal Alchemist, FLCL, Evangelion, Monster, Ouran Host Club
Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop.
I love Cowboy Bebop. I didn't think the dubbing to Death Note was that bad. Maybe I'm just not up to speed on these things.
Death Note dubbing was well done in the sense of I don't get sick of the voices which is my only measure. But yeah I watch a fair bit of subbed as well. I tend to give the american VAs a chance first then switch over if need be. I'm not picky. BTW FMA and Bebop are gods of anime.
Never cosplayed because I tend to miss conventions and other places where cosplaying is appropriate. Though I do dress up for the Ren Faire.

I much prefer the subbed version of Death Note. The dubbed version just doesn't have that same zing to it when Ryuzaki goes, "SHINIGAMI!" and falls over. Funny as hell.

I'd have to agree--it sounds so much better in japanese. Then again--I tend to only watch anime in Japanese with a handful of exceptions. I agree some of the American VA's do an excellent job--my favorite of course being Vic Mignogna. He almost made me cry when he covered "Brother" for FMA--such a beautiful singing voice and made me die with laughter as Tamaki on Ouran Host Club.
Death Note dubbed was Ok--not the greatest but it's not as bad as Code Geass.
I've cosplayed before--some--nothing anime in the past but my first time at an anime convention will be at A-Kon 21 in Dallas in June. It's a typical 3 day event--Saturday being the main day of the convention. I'm going as Edward Elric.
Anyone got Hentai scans?

I'm getting mine from either ebay or cosplaymagic.com--dunno if they have the boss but they probably have a snake costume :-P
you guys are nerdsssssssssss... lol.
:D white and nerdy
i know premades exist of it on teh internetz for buying, they're just-- HEINOUSLY expensive. i'm on the fence.
also... nerds?
while i know this isn't a traditional efed we're all participating in... cosplaying probably DOES edge efedding out in the nerdgasm contest... but they've both gotta be in the top five nerdiest hobbies on the planet. pot/kettle.
relax Kore... was just kidding around. Miss Thang knows I loves her for being a nerd... *swoon*
While I personally don't get the whole anime thing, as for general nerd-dom. It's more than acceptable, especially nowadays, which I greatly appreciate myself as I stare at the stack of comics to my left.
Yeah I got a fair amount of american comics besides my huge stack of anime DVDs/manga volumes. I am nerd and proud.
;D Geek is the new chic. Which is why I l-o-v-e The Big Bang Theory--it makes me happy to see good comedy about nerdom.
If my house wasn't so mess I'd take pictures of our rooms and show how truly nerdy my house is. Living room, bedroom, and washroom is decorated in Watchman posters, anime posters and wall scrolls, and we have multiple bookcases filled with manga, comics, strategy guides for video games, action figures, trading cards, etc.
Ps: Who is miss thang...is it me? I wanna be miss thang!!!! pick me..pick me!
Marvel comics > anime, IMHO
Too generalized a statement for my taste. I'd take X-Factor over just about anything but Marvel puts out some real crap.
X-Factor? The British vague equivalent of America's Got Talent? You suggest this is better than all of Marvel Comicdom? Shame on you. Shame. LOL
In all seriousness, you rate it above Secret Warriors, Dark Avengers, Thor, Punisher etc? WTF?

X-Factor was a comic series LONG before it was a British TV show. :P Even I knew that. Silly Ozzy.
Can't stand Punisher, Thor has gotten off track due to DR fallout causing the writer to leave before he was ready, Secret Warriors is okay but seriously Fury needs something new to do than be bothered by HYDRA. Dark Avengers? Meh. Norman is cool but let's be honest. This team is Thunderbolts-Lite. All the crazy badasses, half the fun. Mostly cause Daken is a tool and Sentry is more whiny than a girl on her first period.
Thor dominating Sentry and Doom in "Siege of Asgard" has gotta be exciting though, right?
Haven't seen it yet to judge but given enough issues even the poorest writer can make one good scene. Doesn't save an entire title.
It hasn't happened yet. I think Kieron Fallon is due to write the first Thor v Doom showdown in #604, but Bendis is in charge of the Siege of Asgard series which starts in... January?

It's the only semi-decent comedy ever made.
Seinfeld - crap
30 rock - crap
Arrested Development - crap
you see where I'm going with this. It is just my opinion
Reaper - worse than Arrested Development and that's saying something. Mind you I didn't get past the pilot and never intend to do so willingly.

Good, because that's what I was going for there. :) It is my all time fave movie, after all.
Soes Scrubs count as nerd comedy? JD is kinda nerdy...
