The fight starts with both men throwing leg kicks and jabs at each other, trying to feel each other out. It is Jackson who makes the first mistake, swinging from left field with a hook that Chance ducks, taking the opportunity to shoot in and grab Jackson by the waist, lifting him up and slamming him hard onto the ground. Chance tries to work his way around Jackson's defenses, looking for a mount, but Jackson isn't allowing it so Chance drops a few heavy forearms into Jackson's face, hoping to jar him loose but to no avail.
As Chance moves in again, Jackson brings a knee up hard into Chance's ribs, followed by another, and another. Finally, Jackson forces Chance off, allowing the champion to get to his knees before he fires a head butt into Chance's gut, followed by one to his head. This time it's Jackson looking for the mount, peppering Chance's body with rights and lefts. Chance backs away, getting to his feet and delivering a hard snap kick into Jackson's thigh. Both O'Connor and Sinn look more than ready to tear each other apart as the fight kicks off. The two women move around The Circle, Sinn firing in a few kick and punch attempts that O'Connor just shakes off. Sinn goes for another kick and O'Connor catches her foot, sending her onto her back. As Sinn hits the floor, O'Connor lunges forward with a hard right hand. O'Connor shoots in for a takedown, but Sinn grabs O'Connor's head, turning her body and crashing on top of her with a mount. Sinn throws another knee into O'Connor's face for leverage, opening a small cut above her right eye.

The referee watches to see if Sinn responds, and Sinn brings her hands up, covering her face before bringing her legs up, wrapping them around O'Connor and driving her back first into the ground. Realizing she won't be able to get the choke locked in, Sinn raises a knee into O'Connor's face, sending her crashing back to the floor. As Sinn pursues O'Connor, the champion throws a kick towards Sinn, but Sinn catches her leg, quickly deciding to go for some kind of heel hook, but O'Connor brings up her other foot, catching Sinn hard in the nose.
