PRIMARY STYLEHis endgame is making the opponent tap out . He may not be the heaviest hitter, but his strikes are always to the point. Ethan is a very cold, focused and calculating fighter. No wasted motions in the cage, he relies on a great defense, capitalizing on opportunity when it presents
STRENGTHSLaser focused
Very quick
Great submission skills
WEAKNESSESUnexperienced
He can be predictable, "calling" some moves
He walks into the match with one plan, struggling if he can't follow it
TENDENCESAs he enters the cage, nothing else exists for him. Due to his particular condition, he always uses NRR ear plugs, to help him isolating from the outside noises, including the fans. He rather let the opponent carry the fight, counting on his dodging ability and swift counterattacks.
APPEARANCEShort blonde hair, a clean look, he doesn't look like someone who walks into fights for a living. There's a sinister sparkle though in his eyes.
CAGE GEARBlack vale tudo shorts with EMT printed in white on the right leg. He loves to use different mouthpieces for each fight
ADDITIONAL CHARACTERISTICSHe might have an hard time hearing the referee due to the ear plugs
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTIONIn the darkened arena, a single ray of white light crosses the black screen from left to right as the initial beat of Church Of Noise starts playing. After circa a minute, when the rhythm of the song slows down, it hits a prism, projecting the refracted rainbow of colors towards the viewers. The first verse hits...
Church of noise
You are not alone
Only skin and bones
It's our very own
Hear me - noise
Try to drown us out
Gotta learn to fight
Gotta learn to shout
Right now
A series of colored spotlights flashes and strobe as Ethan Milo Thompson walks out of the tunnel, clenching his fists and pounding his chest while grinning his teeth to the camera and showing is //color may vary// mouthpiece. The screen shows part of the official video clip of the song as the singer declare the talking verse
Sell out or settle - that's the choices that we get
They tell us that it's useless to even fight back
It only takes five fingers to form a fist
It only takes one thought to rise up and resist
It only takes a sound to change the beaten path
It only takes love and courage to take it all back
Ethan finally walks into the cage.
BIOGRAPHYEthan was born 25 years ago in Helena, Montana. As a child, he started developing a particular condition generally known as synesthesia, in which stimulation of one sensory leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory. In his specific case, the sound-color synesthesia is triggered by speech sounds, with the speaker's emotional inflection influencing the synesthetic color. As weird as it may sound, he literally sees colors hearing people's voice. Even if he's now used to it, mostly able to focus on one sound at the time, he rather use Noise Reduction Ratings ear plugs when entering crowded laces like a wrestling or MMA arena.
Three years ago his mother died. It was an hard blow for Ethan who decided to take some time for himself joining the army and leaving his father home with his younger sister. Last years, coming home from a tour in Afghanistan, he found out that his father was arrested for abuses, and his sister, now 16, entrusted to Child Protective Services. He obviously applied for custody, but it was denied to him for a PTSD misdiagnosis. He felt betrayed, both by the Army and by his country, which he vowed to serve. Embittered, he ran away from his birthplace, growing a grudge toward the institutions, a rebel instinct that makes him challenge every form of authority.
He currently resides in Atlantic City, training at Jan van der Roost "Squires Of Wrestling Academy."
